Event Partners Ltd is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and professional environment at our events for all participants, including visitors, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors and event staff. We expect all attendees to help us create a positive experience for everyone.
This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for behaviour, as well as the consequences for unacceptable conduct.
Expected Behaviour
All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and to treat all other attendees with respect, dignity, and courtesy.
- Be Professional and Courteous: Engage in conversations and interactions in a constructive, respectful, and professional manner.
- Be Inclusive: Foster an atmosphere of collaboration and respect all individuals regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, or religion.
- Be Mindful of Surroundings: Be aware of other participants and respect personal boundaries. Avoid blocking exhibitor stands or high-traffic areas.
- Engage Respectfully in Networking: Build connections ethically. If someone indicates they are not interested in a conversation or receiving a sales pitch, gracefully disengage.
- Follow Venue and Event Rules: Adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the Organiser and the Venue, including health and safety requirements, smoking policies etc.
- Co-operate with Staff: Comply with the directions of event staff and security regarding event operations and emergency procedures.
- Report Concerns: Alert event staff immediately if you notice a dangerous situation, someone in distress, or witness or experience any inappropriate behaviour.
Unacceptable Behaviour
Unacceptable behaviours will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion from the event. These include, but are not limited to:
- Harassment and Discrimination: Intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning conduct or speech. This includes offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, religion, etc.
- Physical or Verbal Abuse: Any form of physical or verbal abuse, threats, violence, or unwanted physical contact.
- Disruptive Conduct: Sustained disruption of talks, sessions, or other event activities (e.g., heckling, protesting).
- Solicitation: Aggressively promoting products or services to exhibitors or other attendees outside of official, designated event activities, or engaging in ‘suitcasing’ (soliciting business in aisles or public spaces by non-exhibiting companies)
- Inappropriate Language/ Imagery: Use of sexually explicit or offensive language or imagery in public spaces.
- Substance Abuse: Possession or consumption of illegal substances or excessive alcohol consumption that leads to disruptive behaviour.
- Unauthorised Photography/Recording: Photographing or recording an individual or an exhibitor’s stand without their consent.
- Weapons: Possession of any item that can be used as a weapon, regardless of local laws that may permit them.
Reporting Unacceptable Behaviour
If you experience or witness any behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately to the Organiser, Event Partners Ltd at the Exhibitor Service Desk. All reports will be handled seriously and, where possible, confidentially.
Consequences of Misconduct
Event Partners Ltd has a zero-tolerance policy for prohibited conduct. Attendees asked to stop any inappropriate behaviour are expected to comply immediately. We may take any action deemed appropriate, including:
- A formal warning.
- Expulsion from the event.
- Prohibition from attending future events.
- Notifying local law enforcement if a criminal offence is suspected.
